|State of Connecticut funding has been static for over 20 years during which time our operating costs have increased by over 80%. In addition, in 2016, we, along with many other community-based providers of critical treatment services, expect to have our state funding reduced because of Connecticut's budget crisis.|
| Insufficient Medicaid Reimbursements
||81% of the children we treat are on Medicaid. Static Medicaid reimbursement rates for outpatient child mental health services ( as low as $29 per hour for therapy) only cover a fraction of the costs of delivering high-quality mental health services to children.|
| More Children are Seeking Help
||Demand for our services continues to exceed our capacity and our waiting list continues to grow. We urgently need funding to expand our clinical capacity so we can quickly help every child in need. No child suffering from a serious emotional or behavioral disorder should have to wait months for treatment.|
| More Children with Serious Disorders
|| A growing percentage of the children seeking help are presenting with more serious and complex issues, such as trauma, that requires a much higher level of therapeutic intervention.
